Sitemap Generator Forum

Today I have noticed that I have doubled listings in sitemap.xml, ror.xml and urllist.txt.

  <loc>[ External links are visible to forum administrators only ]</loc>
  <lastmod>2011-07-19T21:46:06+00:00</lastmod>
</url>

Also I have noticed that I have the two below I noticed one of the listings but not the /index.html listing.

How can I fix this.

Hello,

1. I checked your sitemap and see that one link is:
/Legal/disclaimer.html
and another one is:
/legal/disclaimer.html

Note that URLs are case *sensitive* and they are actually different URLs from generator (and search engines) point of view. You should make sure that link is the same in all cases.


2. You can add "index.html" to "Exclude URLs" setting to have only top domain link in sitemap.

I looked and cannot find any Legal/disclaimer.html file only is listed in sitemap.xml, ror.xml and urllist.txt files. Just in case I deleated the intire website and uploaded again.

I've just tried to regenerate sitemap and duplicate is not included now.
