Error opening socket to (mysite) in stand alone generator - help please

I keep getting error:

Error message: Error opening socket to (mysite)

I have entered the server IP address in the Advanced settings under
"Use IP address for crawling:"
... but I still get the same error.

I tried running it from the server itself using localhost in the IP address setting box and it works but then the sitemap.xml doesn't load in a browser window elsewhere.

Please help.

I just installed sitemap generator and I'm getting exactly the same error on Godaddy.

Any help would be appreciated, it would have been nice to find the solution here. Thanks.
