usually sitemap is parsed by search engines immediately and you will see the number of "Submitted" pages (same as the total number of URLs in sitemap) and "Indexed", which is the number of pages in index and it takes different time for search engines to index them (depends on many factors, sitemaps only ensure that all pages are "submitted").
